The Emirati trekker had slipped off a rocky mountain.
The Fujairah Police have rescued an Emirati who got injured while trekking a mountain in Al Aqa. The trekker, who is in his 30s, had slipped off a rocky mountain.
“He sustained injuries, mainly in his leg, and could not go up or down,” a source said.
The rescue teams that rushed to the site took a while to spot the injured trekker. First-aid was administered, after which he was airlifted to the nearest hospital.
The police advised trekkers to avoid rough mountainous areas that are hard to reach.
