An Arab motorbiker, in his twenties, was airlifted to Fujairah hospital after he sustained critical injuries and multiple fractures - particularly in his arm, shoulder, back and head - during an accident in Manie area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The accident happened when two stray donkeys that were running on the side of the road decided to cross right in front of the biker.
On being informed, the central operations room of the RAK Police dispatched traffic patrols, ambulances, civil defence men, paramedics, and rescue teams to the site.
"The air ambulance of the Ministry of Interior was requested for help due to the serious condition of the young man." The injured man was airlifted to Fujairah hospital for treatment and medical care, they added.
