Eating out, poor hand hygiene and erratic weather may be among causes, say medics
A new feature on the Abu Dhabi Police app sends real-time alerts that warn motorists about traffic jams and unstable weather conditions.
The new feature will enhance motorists’ safety and enable them to “pre-plan alternative routes”, the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office tweeted on Saturday.
Amid rough weather conditions like fog and rain, the alert system will warn motorists to reduce their speeds as is required in the Capital.
“To take advantage of the new ‘urgent alert feature’, motorists are requested to activate notifications on their smart phone,” the media office added.
