Two men were injured in a car accident that took place in Ras Al Khaimah.
They were travelling along Jazirat Al Hamra road when the two vehicles collided.
The RAK Civil Defence team was dispatched to the site along with ambulances, paramedics, and traffic patrol vehicles.
Upon their arrival, they realised the two men were stuck inside the vehicle. The civil defence used hydraulic devices to saw the car door off and extract the men who sustained moderate to severe injuries..
They were treated on site before being rushed to the nearest hospital for further medical care.
According to sources at the RAK police, "speeding and not keeping a safe distance" were the main culprits of the incident.
All drivers are urged to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations, particularly speed limits, which have been blamed for several deadly accidents especially in Ras Al Khaimah.
