UAE firefighters put out a big blaze that broke out in a fuel tanker over the weekend, successfully preventing a major incident.
The Fujairah Civil Defence successfully managed to put out a massive fire that erupted in a diesel tanker that had flipped over in Sakamkam area on the Yabsa Bypass road.
A rescue team was immediately dispatched, comprising firefighters, traffic patrols, ambulances and paramedics to the site of the accident.

According to a statement issued by the police and civil defence, the firefighters had quickly contained the fire.

"The Fujairah Civil Defence cordoned off the site, and put out the fire using foam and water."

The cooling operation - of the gutted tanker - took a little longer, the statement added.

Drivers, particularly carrying inflammable materials, are urged to be extra careful during transportation and abide by the speed limit. Police have also advised motorists to take precautionary measure during the summer when cars are affected by the heat.
