Dubai-based Emirates has confirmed the death of a passenger on a flight on March 14.
The male passenger died aboard a Dubai-Boston flight on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the Massachusetts State Police.
A spokesperson at the Dubai-based carrier confirmed the death, adding that the cabin crew had administered CPR to the passenger after he collapsed, but was unresponsive and passed away.

'Emirates can confirm that on 14 March, a passenger collapsed on board flight EK237 from Dubai to Boston. After consulting doctors via Emirates' Medlink system, our cabin crew administered CPR to the passenger. However the passenger was unresponsive and sadly, passed away. Emirates expresses condolences to the family'.
Massachusetts State Police said that, on Friday, officials were notified that a passenger was in cardiac arrest aboard Emirates Flight EK237 enroute from Dubai to Boston. The passenger was a 59-year-old male from Worcester.
Rescue services rushed to the gate as the plane landed, and all other passengers deboarded.
The cause and manner of death is pending autopsy results.
Subsequent investigation determined the following:
- The male travelled from Boston to Chennai, India on March 4 and had a layover in Dubai prior to his return flight
- The male had been sick with gastrointestinal problems for several days prior to and including the day of his death
- According to his next-of-kin, the male did not have any pre-existing medical conditions.
In light of the man's international travel, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in an abundance of caution will test for Covid-19 as part of its post-mortem examination, the police statement added.
