Oil demand for road transport should peak around 2025
The accident took place near Exit 122, after RAK Bank, at 7.27 on Wednesday morning.
Sources with National Ambulance said the deceased worker was shifted to the morgue of Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital, where six other workers were rushed for medical assistance.
"Four other workers were shifted to Saqr Hospital," they said. "Two workers were seriously injured, six sustained moderate wounds and three suffered minor injuries."
They added that two ambulances reached the scene in eight minutes. Seven others came later.
Eyewitnesses told Khaleej Times that 12 traffic patrols and nine ambulances were present. "This is apart from the Ministry of Interior air wing rescue teams."
"It is a big accident as several workers were injured and the flipped over bus is partially damaged."
Initial enactment of the accident suggests inattentive driving and failure to observe safety distance and speed limit.
