Services on the Dubai Metro Red Line resumed on Wednesday afternoon after being partially affected for more than four hours.
"Please be informed that the technical malfunction has been resolved and the affected metro stations are operating normally. We thank all metro users for their cooperation," the RTA said.
The Dubai Metro had faced a technical glitch on Wednesday morning, suspending services at one of the stations initially. Later on, services were suspended at four more stations.
According to a statement tweeted by Roads and Transport Authority (Dubai), the Metro service at Noor Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Sharaf DG, Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City had been disrupted.
The RTA said that operation at the stations was temporarily affected due to a snag and emergency services had arrived at the scene to restore Metro service at its earliest.
The update by noon was that the service will be stopped for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a bus service had been launched to transport passengers between the affected stations.

Passengers from Rashidiya heading towards Jebel Ali were advised to get down at Business Bay station and take a free shuttle bus that will bring them to Nakheel Station, an RTA official told Khaleej Times.

Those from Jebel Ali were asked to go down at Nakheel Metro Station and take a bus to Business Bay, the official added.
All other stations were operating normally.
