A senior Emirati living in a house on top of a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah has been airlifted to a hospital after he developed some medical complications.
The police's air wing carried out the rescue operation after the Emirati sent out an SOS complaining of severe spinal pains.
According to Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, head of the air wing section, the Emirati resides in a house at a height of 5,000 feet above sea level.

"He could not drive to the hospital due to his back pain and called the police at 9am," the officer said.
A helicopter dispatched to the site transferred the patient to the nearest hospital within 20 minutes.
