7-member family narrowly escapes death after villa ceiling collapses in UAE

Ras Al Khaimah - Large clouds of dust and debris began pouring out of the villa.

A family of 7 barely escaped with their lives after the ceiling of their Ras Al Khaimah villa caved in on Tuesday.
The Emirati family had been sitting in the living room of their home at Jazirat Al Hamra, when they heard a loud sound emanating from another room.
Loud cracks and tremors shook the home, forcing them to evacuate the premises.
Large clouds of dust and debris began pouring out of the villa.
Upon investigating the sound, the family found that the ceiling in one of the rooms had caved in.
Poor maintenance and the age of the home contributed to its subsequent disintegration.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the potentially fatal collapse.
