A 13-year-old girl has been found dead at her house in UAE.
Law enforcement bodies in Sharjah are investigating the tragic death of a 13-year-old girl, a Gulf national, who had committed suicide by hanging herself to death in her house at Al Ramtha area, according to initial reports.
Al Qassimi hospital alerted the Sharjah police about the child, who was rushed to the trauma and emergency department where all efforts to resuscitate were in vain.

Informed sources said that the hospital staff tried very hard to rescue the girl but she died.

"Initial investigations show that the victim had hanged herself from the ceiling using a black scarf that she had wrapped tightly around her neck until she suffocated."

The girl's family rushed her to the hospital for medical care.

"The forensic report showed that the girl's death was due to suffocation by hanging," the source added.

The reports did not reveal any injuries or bleeding on her body.

"Paramedics tried to save her life by performing an urgent cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but to no avail.

"Thirty minutes later, the girl was officially announced dead."

Sharjah Police have referred the case to the Public Prosecution to identify the reasons behind the girl's death, and if there were any criminal grounds involved.

"The girl's corpse was referred to the criminal lab where forensic experts examined her body and handed it over to her relatives for burial as ordered by the prosecution."
