Court upholds regulator order for the billionaire to take down posts containing footage of the April 15 stabbing of the Assyrian bishop
Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has shared its three most popular tweets of the year. Among the three was a hilarious message from a student.
The KHDA tweeted the student’s message with a one-line comment — "Some things never change".
The message reads: “Hi I am a student and on the weather forecast, there is a high chance of rain and me and a few peers are really worried about our health and stuff so I think it would be the best choice to close down online school so we can prioritize our health.”
“Check out our Top 3 most shared posts on social media this year. Between them, they show what our community values & enjoys: health, heart & humour,” the authority said while retweeting the most shared posts of 2020.
Another most retweeted message comes from Safeera M, a teacher, who wrote a touching notes to parents and students when the UAE decided to continue with online education. The teacher urged parents and students to be understanding enough to realise that the teachers are adapting to a new way of teaching and not to make fun of their possible mistakes.
The KHDA shared the message on its official Twitter handle with a note — This heartfelt message from a teacher reminds us to have patience and empathy because we’re all #InThisTogetherDubai.
The third most popular tweet is a notification by the authority in February where it announced cancellation of all gatherings at schools and universities.
