Schools may decide whether to open or remain closed after assessment.

After Ministry of Education's late announcement on Tuesday night regarding schools closure across parts of the UAE on Wednesday, the Dubai education authority issued a brief statement early today about schools in the city being open on Thursday.

Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority tweeted on Wednesday - after being flooded with queries about the status of schools on Thursday - that there will be 'no day off tomorrow'.

In Dubai, schools may decide whether to open or remain closed, as per the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. Management is expected to assess the situation and issue a decision accordingly, with safety of students and staff being a priority.
