New CBSE exam dates won't affect UAE schools

The dates for the remaining exams for Class 10 and 12 exams will be announced today.

The new exam dates to be announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not affect students in the UAE.

CBSE is taking some additional technical aspects into consideration, before finalizing the date sheets of the board exams for grades 10th and 12th, due to which, the date sheets will now be released by Monday, May 18, 2020, Indian Minister for Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal, said. 

On April 1, the CBSE clarified that it would go ahead with the exams only in India and schools abroad will not be affected by the new schedule.The board examinations were earlier put off due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. 

The CBSE is India's largest school board, which has 220 schools affiliated to it in 25 foreign countries.
