Dubai to have over dozen new schools this academic year     

Dubai - Most schools will open on September 2, 2018.

About 13 new schools are opening in Dubai this academic year, including a school campus that is powered entirely by renewable energy, and another that is one of UK's oldest school.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, 169 Dubai private schools, offered education to more than 257,000 students across 16 different curriculums. However, the launch of many new schools in the 2018-2019 academic year will raise these number significantly. Most schools will open on September 2. 
Fairgreen International School, the UAE's first sustainable school for Pre-KG to 12th graders, is opening in September and offers an IB-programme to its students.
Founded by Esol Education, the school is located in the Sustainable City and the tuition fees ranges between Dh50,000 and Dh88,000 for the next three academic years.

 The Brighton College is also opening and will offer a British-curriculum education to students from FS1 to Year 13 in a co-educational setting at Al Barsha South.
It is one of UK's oldest school, which was founded in 1845, and already has branches in Abu Dhabi. This will be the first one in Dubai and fees ranges between Dh64,000 and Dh107,000 and there will be a Founders Fee ranging from Dh64,000 to Dh98,000 in year one of the operation, which will be valid to students throughout their duration at the school.
The school has said that all of the income they make from their international schools will be used for three purposes, including allowing the college to offer scholarships for those who can't afford fees, to accelerate building programme, and to create an endowment fund for future generations.
Another IB-curriculum school, the Dwight school, is opening its doors this September in Al Barsha South for KG1 to 9th grade, with fees ranging between Dh66,000 and Dh103,000.
The school was founded in 1872 and this will be the first one to open in the Middle East. The GEMS network is launching the GEMS Founders School in Mizhar this year and the GEMS New Our Own Private High School in Sharjah.
The GEMS Founders School in Mizhar offers a British Curriculum for KG1 to Grade 9 and fees ranges between Dh22,000 and Dh29,000.
At the GEMS New Our Own Private High School in Sharjah, there is a CBSE curriculum for students and fees is from Dh14,000 to Dh18,000.
