The faithful’s prayers have been answered — Dubai authorities on Monday announced that Eid Al Fitr prayers will be held at Eid musallas (prayer grounds) across the emirate.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (Iacad) in Dubai said the Eid prayers will be held at 5.52am, and musallas across the emirate will open 30 minutes before. They will be closed right after the prayer. Women’s prayer halls, however, will remain closed until further notice.

Eid Al Fitr may fall either on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the sighting of the moon.

Iacad urged worshippers to keep a safe distance from others and not to crowd around the musallas’ entrances and exits. The same precautionary measures being followed during the Taraweeh prayers will apply, including wearing masks and carrying individual prayer mats.
