Dubai - Cyber security firms say immediate action needed to avoid costly attacks.

Around 80 per cent of companies do not have an established password policy, while 15-20 per cent of passwords used include the name of the company, making them easier to compromise.

Data by NordPass revealed that most of the passwords can be hacked in less than a second, making it easier for hackers to steal data of individuals and corporates.

Interestingly, American software development firm SolarWinds has warned that one of its update servers had a publicly known password of “solarwinds123”, while former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account was hacked because the password was allegedly “maga2020”.

The latest research by the cyber protection firm Acronis revealed these shocking findings to alert individuals and organisations that immediate action is needed to avoid costly attacks.
