A Gulf citizen was sentenced to a suspended three-month jail term by the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court on charges of forging an official document.
The accused, who was also found guilty of attempting to cancel the residence visa of an Asian worker in violation of the law, was ordered to pay a fine of Dh150,000.
The defendant tried to violate the rules to avoid paying the entitlements of the employee. Immigration officers found the forged documents, and referred him to the RAK Police.
