In the first case, two people were arrested and 18kg heroin was found in their possession.
In the second, three men belonging to the same gang were caught with 50 capsules of heroin weighing 670 grammes. A fourth gang member was arrested later and 49 capsules of heroin weighing 599 grammes were recovered from him.
The drug peddlers were arrested with the combined efforts of Sharjah, Dubai and Fujairah police departments.
The suspects confessed to their crimes and were then referred to the public prosecution, Col Al Assam added.
