A 33-year-old man is on trial in Dubai on charge of sexually assaulting a tourist in a car.
In the Court of First Instance on Tuesday, the Comoros Islands passport holder denied sexually assaulting a Norwegian tourist in the back seat of his friend's car.

According to public prosecution records, the incident took place last year on December 19, after the victim's drink had been spiked.
A police sergeant said they moved - at around 3 pm on December 20 - to a hotel in Al Garhoud after receiving a complaint about a theft.
"We saw the complainant there. She told us she had met the men the day before, the accused being one of them, at a café in a shopping centre. She went with them later to a bar in a hotel, where she claims someone spiked her drink".

She further added that the defendant removed her clothes and sexually assaulted her while in his friend's car, despite the latter's attempt to stop him from raping her.
She slept in that friend's house and woke up the following morning to find her mobile phone and credit card stolen.
The Norwegian woman reported them to the police after she was dropped at her hotel. The police tracked down the duo after reviewing the hotel's CCTV footage.
A report from the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence showed the defendant's DNA traces on the tourist's body.
The trial was adjourned to December 20.
