A witness informed the incident to the operation room of the Dubai Police who rushed the heavily bleeding man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The informer told the police he found the ground covered with blood stains and found the two suspects trying to drag the victim to a car. When they saw the complainant, they fled the scene leaving the body behind.
The 53-year-old victim, also a businessman, was stabbed on different parts of the body and some money was found in his pocket. The complainant gave the description of the Asians and the police immediately launched a manhunt. They learnt that the first suspect was living in Naif area and raided his house. They found cloths covered with blood and also the cars used by the two suspects when fleeing the scene The first suspect told the police that the victim had been cheating his brother in business dealings, six months ago. At that time, he was in Pakistan and when he came back they tried to solve the dispute.
On the day of the incident, they went to the victim's office and told him to return Dh650,000 to them. However, the victim asked them to pay another Dh150,000 in order to complete the transaction. After that, they drove to the mall and at the parking area, a heated argument happened between the first suspect and the victim. When the victim got out of the car, the first suspect went after him and stabbed him many times until he fell to the ground.
The second suspect alighted from the car and helped his brother to drag the body to the car. Seeing the guard, they fled the scene and drove to their home, changed clothes and hired a taxi to Al Ain with a plan to flee the country. The two brothers own two business firms, one of them located in the same mall where the incident took place.
