The Umm Al Quwain Police have arrested a gang of seven African and Asian residents involved in robbing valuables from vehicles. According to Brigadier Humaid Mattar bin Ojail, director of the criminal investigations department (CID), the gangsters also posed as security officers and were involved in robbery cases.
"The department had received multiple complaints about theft of valuables from cars. Our investigations led us to the seven suspects," the officer said.
Captain Khalifa Saif from the department urged residents to not leave valuable items inside their vehicles. "Investigations are on to identify all the robberies the suspects were involved in," he said.
