The DP World Tour reaches the midway point of its Asian Swing when it returns to action with the ISPS HANDA Championship in Japan
As per court records, the case unfolded when the defendant had a heated argument with the complainant and allegedly swore at her by sending several 'abusive' SMSes.
The plaintiff lodged a complaint with Fujairah Police, which summoned the accused and referred her to the public prosecution on charges of insulting the complainant.
Though the defendant admitted to her crime, she denied the charges at the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court.
"I did not admit to sending any insulting messages; they are all fabricated," she averred.
The defendant, who was not represented by a lawyer, requested the court to adjourn the case so that she could copy the case file, and prepare her pleading.
The court accepted her request, and ordered adjournment of the case to next week.
