UAE expat beats wife, hits head against wall 'in fit of anger'

Fujairah - The defendant rushed his wife to the nearest hospital.

An Asian man stood trial in the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court for assaulting his wife over family disputes.
Court records show that an argument ensued between the couple following which the husband started beating up his wife with his hand.
The woman tried to resist the assault but in vain. The man pushed her back so hard that her head hit against the wall and she lost consciousness.
The defendant rushed his wife to the nearest hospital.
The police was alerted about the incident and started investigation. The man was later arrested for the assault.
He was referred to the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court where he admitted to his crime, and urged his wife to forgive him. 
"I did not mean to harm my wife. It happened in a fit of anger," he said.
The court ordered adjournment of the case.
