A 35-year-old Indian expat has been arrested in Sharjah for reportedly stabbing his compatriot to death.
The suspect allegedly had a heated argument with the victim, a 27-year-old Indian national, over personal issues. He grabbed a knife and stabbed the man multiple times, the Sharjah Police said.
Authorities were alerted to the incident on Sunday, the first day of Eid Al Fitr celebrations. When they reached the scene of the crime, they found the victim dead and the suspect wasn't around.
The Sharjah Police then launched a manhunt and managed to identify the suspect, who confessed to the crime upon his arrest. He was referred to the public prosecution for legal action.
