Dubai Police arrest gang selling drugs in UAE through social media

The gang used social media, especially WhatsApp, to sell drugs to the youth.

Five Arab nationals were nabbed by the Dubai Police for promoting illegal drugs and committing organised crimes.
Maj-Gen Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori, assistant commander for the criminal investigation affairs at the Dubai Police, said the gang used social media, especially WhatsApp, to sell drugs to the youth. 
The men sold drugs and transferred money to their leader who lived in another country. The police first spotted the banker who helped the gang transfer money and then carried out 'Operation 12' to arrest the other four gang members.
