The Ras Al Khaimah Police have banned all parades across the emirate to curb traffic congestions and for road users' safety in the run up to the UAE's 44th National Day.
The RAK Police have also decided to block the Qawasim Corniche Road on December 1 and 2 to ensure the safety of all participants in the celebrations along the arterial road.
Major-General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the RAK Police, said the law enforcement bodies in the emirate are all set to deal with any emergency cases.
"More police officers and patrols will be deployed during the 44th National Day celebrations to ensure traffic flow, curb road accidents and snarls and provide help for the public when needed."
Brigadier Abdullah Mankhas, head of the National Day security committee, said special parking lots have been designated for those taking part in the celebrations.
"These are behind the Shaikh Zayed mosque and next to the Eid Musalla in the Khuzam area," he said.
