The gripping 50-minute interactive session between India's opposition leader and UAE students witnessed discussions on a wide range of topics. From the 'unjust system of having' NRI quotas in medical schools to empowerment of rural women in India, Indian opposition leader and Congress party president, Rahul Gandhi and the school students had a conversation that posed of equally tough questions from both sides.
Though Rahul answered some hard-hitting questions posed by the students, he also took the time to lighten the mood by giving several witty anecdotes.
In comparison to his public event at the Dubai Cricket Stadium the previous, the student community interaction session at Institute of Management Technology (IMT) on Saturday, January 12 was relaxed, entertaining, intellectual, and Gandhi successfully attempted to make a real connect with the students. Students told Khaleej Times after the event that they "really liked the talk, and wished it had lasted much longer."
