A whale shark was rescued after losing its way in Dubai Creek on Wednesday.
Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, tweeted a video of the rescue operation on his official handle.
The juvenile whale shark was ushered to its final home by a team of experts from the ministry in cooperation with Dubai Police.    

The whale shark had lost its way near Jaddaf area.
Three diving teams were assembled aboard two rescue vessels.
The juvenile shark was placed in an underwater carriage and transported to the open ocean.
The rescue operation took approximately five hours.
Al Zeyoudi praised the efforts of the teams involved, stressing: "The UAE is proud of its biological diversity and always seeks to protect its wildlife and fauna, especially endangered species."
