The central operations room of the UAQ Police, having been alerted of the collision, dispatched traffic police, ambulances, paramedics, firefighters, and rescue teams to the site in record time.
Initial enactment of the accident showed that speeding and driving dangerously close to each other were blamed for the collision; sources with the civil defence department said.

Competent firefighters managed to release the victim who was stuck inside his box truck vehicle, they added.

"The public is urged to immediately report any such accidents to toll free (999) or (997)."
All drivers also need to observe traffic rules and regulations, they underlined. "Speeding is one of the main reasons for so many accidents."
