Meet Dr Mosaraf Ali, health adviser and practitioner to royalty, presidents and celebrities from the screen and the world of sport.

The man who pioneered ‘The Ali Method’ talked with Khaleej Times about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle by means of alternative medicine.

Ali was in Dubai recently to promote the opening of Canourstie Ayurveda and Wellness Resort in Kerala, India. During his time in Dubai, Ali shared details of a new health concept called Time Reversal which is essentially a rejuvenation programme he is launching later this month at the resort. The basic principles are taken from Kaya Kalpa, an ancient Indian rejuvenation therapy taught to him by his late master, and modified using his clinical knowledge and experience, according to Dr. Ali. A treatment technique that is fast gaining popularity, he said it is becoming very popular among Arabs.

“I have been working on this technique for the last 15 years,” he said. “Even though yoga, meditation, massage and diet form the backbone of the treatments, the various techniques we use are quite different. I have to create my own therapies. For example, the yoga used is organ-based and its main goal is to draw blood to every part of the body, thus replenishing its nourishment and simultaneously removing waste. As for the diet, we regulate the stomach acid, increase liver function, eliminate yeast or candida in the gut, reinstate healthy gut flora and facilitate elimination of waste. Our cooking method excludes oil but enriches the food with tasty condiments and herbs, making our dishes very tasty. We use seven types of cooking and our chefs have added their own culinary expertise, to make our cuisine very attractive,” he added.

Dr. Ali is the founder of the Integrated Medical Centre in London and has established a global reputation in his areas of expertise.

He has been creating a synergy between the conventional and traditional schools of medicine thereby producing an anti-oxidant and cleansing formula that heals and enhances simultaneously. “These are customised to individual needs and priorities keeping in mind body type, state of health and unique biological conditions,” said Ali.

He has successfully helped the likes of Lord Andrew Lloyd Weber, Morgan Freeman, Sylvester Stallone, Kate Moss and many more high profile people, several of whom are not named because of their profile and the confidentiality agreements.

Carnoustie is a private haven, according to Dr Ali. Treatments are priced at 900 euros per night and it also provides travel arrangements to patients.

“The treatment is recommended to anyone who is above the age of 22,” said Dr Ali.

“We have created a haven of peace and tranquility; the perfect place to rejuvenate in the lap of natural luxury” said Joseph G. Garcia, the General Manager of Carnoustie Ayurveda and Wellness Resort.

“The resort is built with the purpose of reintroducing one to the surreal as well as healing properties of nature.”
