An Arab woman suffered burns on her neck, ears and head while a salon worker was dyeing her hair, a Sharjah court has heard. The Sharjah Misdemeanours Court heard that the complainant felt pain due to the burns and had to rush to a hospital. A medical report stating that she had sustained burn injuries was submitted in court.
The court confronted the Asian salon worker on the charge of committing a "mistake" that consequently caused burns on the complainant's body.
While denying that the burns were caused by the product used for dyeing, the defendant said the procedure was carried out as per the complainant's request. A substance used for such purposes was applied and it had never caused any problem to any customer before, the worker pointed out, while adding that the complainant went out of the salon in a "good condition".
The judge said the forensic report stated that the substance which was applied on the woman's hair caused burns on her head, neck and ears.
The court adjourned the case to a later date.
