UAE royal passes away; 3-day mourning period announced

Sharjah - The Royal court made the announcement on the second day of Ramadan.

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah offered condolences on the death of Sheikha Mariam Bint Salem Al Suwaidi, who passed away on Tuesday (May 7).

The Royal court announced this on second day of Ramadan.

The funeral prayer will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, after the Ishaa prayers at the King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah. The funeral will then take place at the cemetery of Al-Jubail.
The official mourning in the Emirate of Sharjah will be announced for a period of three days starting on Wednesday (May 8).
