UAE is looking for women firefighters

Dubai - Should be between 18 and 25 years of age, and at least 160cm tall.

The Ministry of Interior has announced vacancies for Emirati women at the Sharjah Civil Defence department.

They will be taken on board as firefighters and will work as per the shift system, and on the MoI pay scale, the ministry said in a post on social media.

Interested candidates should meet the below criterion:

1. Age should not be less than 18 years
2. Applicant must clear the personal interview and the required medical checkups
3. Academic qualification from outside the UAE will be subject to check and verification by competent authorities

Those interested should report to the following offices between 7.30am and 2.30pm along with their documents:

> Abu Dhabi: MoI premises, Department of passing and appointment

>Sharjah: Federal Police School, Employment branch of Northern Emirates

Other details:

Academic qualification: Secondary school

Age should not be more than 25 years

Height should not be less than 160cm

Must be a UAE citizen

Work place: Sharjah city

Work on basis of shifts system
