Residents in Sharjah have got the perfect gift for Eid Al Adha: A new mosque. The Sharjah Islamic affairs authority has inaugurated the Malik bin Dinar mosque that can accommodate 450 worshippers in the Sharqan area.

Abdullah Khalifa Al Sabousi, director of the authority, said a generous resident bore all the expenses for building the 1,800-square metre mosque.

The men's section can accommodate 400 worshippers, while the women's section can accommodate 50.

The Malik bin Dinar mosque's interior and exterior walls are simple, with Islamic inscriptions decorating its windows.
