The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah announced that lanes on both sides of Buhairah Corniche will be closes to construct a dedicated lane for buses.

Motorists heading to the central market or Ittihad Park need to be careful and expect delays as a two-month long development project has begun.
Eng Sheikha Al Zuwain, director of roads procurement and tenders at RTA Sharjah, said the pavement tiles and asphalt layers at the central market and around the Ittihad Park are to be replaced. "The project is worth Dh4 million and will take two months to complete."
The project to cover part of King Faisal road around the Ittihad Park includes replacement of the interlock, tiles, and asphalt layers. All the roads and streets in the area will be repainted, she added.
RTA Sharjah has planned alternative routes in collaboration with the Sharjah police to ensure smooth traffic flow.
All drivers are urged to follow road sign boards to avoid congestion. The safety engineer concerned can be reached at (0501805043) or (0504661491).
RTA Sharjah will be available to respond to customers' feedbacks and complaints. "RTA Sharjah Call Centre is reachable 24/7 at (600525252) for feedbacks, inquiries, remarks and complaints," she said.
