A 55-year-old Indian worker died on the spot after a wall collapsed on him while he was carrying out construction work at an under-construction building in industrial area no. 1 of Sharjah.
Police received a call from the deceased's co-workers, who reported the incident. A team of CID patrol and ambulance immediately rushed to the site, where they found that the worker - identified as BSY - had already died due to internal bleeding and severe injuries to his skull and lungs.
The police team shifted the body to the forensic laboratory. They interrogated the management of the company to ascertain the cause of the death and to find out whether the company was following safety norms to protect the workers.
