A 20-year-old Emirati man died and his 18-year-old brother sustained serious injuries in horrific crash car crash took place in Al Dhaid-Maleiha road on Saturday.
The accident occurred when a car driven by an Emirati woman crashed into the vehicle that was being driven by the deceased, which then veered off the road and turned over several times before coming to rest on its side in a sandy area. The police said the crash was caused by lack of attention and overspeeding.
Police teams with a traffic expert, patrols and ambulance reached the site in less than 5 minutes after they got the call. The team rushed the injured brother to Al Dhaid Hospital. The deceased's body was taken to the morgue.
