A 32-year-old Asian worker succumbed to injuries he sustained after the minibus he was travelling in flipped over on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem road in Ras Al Khaimah. Ten other workers sustained injuries in the accident that took place on Thursday.
"The driver of the 12-passenger minibus, an Egyptian, was badly hurt, and has been in the intensive care unit of the Saqr hospital," said Col Ahmed Saeed Al Sam Al Naqbi, deputy director of the traffic and patrols department.
Initial enactment of the accident showed that the driver lost control over the steering wheel, but it's not clear how or why.
