45-year-old injured as car overturns in UAE road accident

A 45-year-old Emirati sustained several injuries following a collision involving two cars here in Ras Al Khaimah, Khaleej Times has learnt.
Col Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, director of the traffic and patrols department, RAK police, told Khaleej Times that they were alerted about the accident on Wednesday at 10.40am. "The accident left one of the two drivers with several injuries. The driver of the other car was unharmed."
After being alerted of the mishap, the central operations room of the Ras Al Khaimah police dispatched traffic patrols, ambulances, paramedics, and rescue teams to the site in record time. The injured driver was shifted to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
The accident file was referred to the authorities concerned for any legal action that may be required.
Col Al Naqbi urged drivers to observe traffic rules and regulations, particularly speed limit, and safety distance.
