Ramadan is a festive time for family and friends every year. Residents can look forward to the holy month and its blessings to land on May 6, 2019.
This tallies with the prediction given earlier by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department of the Government of Dubai regarding the start of the holy month.
In a welcome surprise, for the first time in 4 years, residents will be fasting for less than 15 hours a day, according to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, member of the Arab Union for Space and Astronomy Sciences (AUAS), as per Emarat Al Youm report.
The Ramadan crescent will be born around 2.46am on May 5 in UAE local time. It will be visible as it will set 30 minutes after sunset.
Daylight hours will vary between 13 hours and 10 minutes, to 13 hours and 40 minutes throughout the holy month.
Temperatures are expected to range from 23 to 41?, with humidity levels averaging between 22-75 per cent.
