The Eid Al Fitr dates are out. As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end this weekend, UAE residents are gearing up for the long weekend ahead.
You could travel to nearby destinations like Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia on a tight budget but there is a possibility that these packages would cost a bomb if you look at booking them now.
So, if you intend to stay in the UAE for Eid and celebrate it with your family, we have a list of events you can check out.

Watch the Eid fireworks
On the second day of Eid Al Fitr, watch the Dubai skyline lit up with splendid fireworks. Head to Festival City mall in Dubai and watch the musical fireworks in the late evening. What's more, it is absolutely free. So, try to reach early as all the seats could be taken.

24 hours of rollercoaster thrill
Head to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on June 25 and enjoy 24 hours Rollercoaster Rally with live performances, games, DJ and 4 incredible themed entertainment zones. The fun doesn't end there. Enter the Park at no admission fee between 6am (June 25th) until 11am (June 26th) and pay as you ride.
Attend concert by Majed al Mohandes Live
If you are going for shopping at Dragon Mart 2 during the long weekend, time yourself to catch the free concert by Majed al Mohandes. One of the most popular Arabic pop singers around, you can expect him to sing top hits such as 'Ya Hob Ya Hob', 'Tenadeek' and more.

Enjoy 90% off for 24 hours at Yas Mall
Yas Mall will launch a 24-hour mega sale with more than 300 brands at discounts of up to 90 per cent. Stores will open from 10am to 10am on June 25 to June 26. There will be hourly specials post-midnight at Geant, Home Centre, Hamely's, House of Fraser, Tryano, Vox Cinemas, Ferrari World, Fun Works, Ikea and Ace Hardware, among other names.

Have fun at Modhesh World 2017
If you are in the city during the summer vacation, let your kids have a time of their lives at the Modesh World 2017. The family-centric event takes place exclusively during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), an initiative that makes the city more exciting for residents and visitors in the summertime.
This annual event, starting on June 20, will last eight weeks and sprawls across six cool, air-conditioned huge halls in Dubai World Trade Centre.
