His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has directed the World Government Summit (WGS) to establish international partnerships with world governments to shape the next generation of leaders.
With immediate effect, WGS has commenced operations as an international organisation that works throughout the year to achieve its global goals. As part of this priority, WGS will publish research studies, launch development indicators, and collaborate with global partners that share its vision on best practices to prepare for the future.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the World Government Summit, said: "WGS witnessed a remarkable participation from highly-esteemed international organisations.
"Hosting the summit reinforces the UAE's international position and its role on the global landscape in many sectors that contribute to societal well-being and enhance people's lives through improving sustainable development," said Gergawi.
