His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday received Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian President, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, ADNEC, on the sidelines of Idex 2015.
Shaikh Mohammed and the Ukrainian President discussed friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and ways to expand them for common interest and benefit.
Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the Ukrainian President, praising the level of existing cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Ukraine, which is developing at different levels.
For his part, Petro Poroshenko, praised Idex and expressed his happiness to participate in the opening of this global event, which attracts military leaders, experts and private companies specialising in defensive techniques of modern industry.
The Ukrainian President thanked Shaikh Mohammed for his invitation to visit the opening of Idex.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State; and a number of senior officials.
