WATCH: Six warehouses gutted in Sharjah fire
The police cordoned off the area, and fire fighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading.
Six warehouses were gutted in a fire which erupted on Wednesday at 7pm in Industrial Area 2 in Sharjah. No casualties have, however, been reported.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Brig Abdullah Al Suwaidi, director-general of Sharjah Civil Defence said the fire destroyed warehouses which contained electrical items like wires and spare parts.
The police cordoned off the area, and fire fighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading.
Firefighters worked until the late hours to douse the fire and for cooling operations. The site will be handed over to the police.
