Chief Minister Ooomen Chandysaid the government decided on an all-party delegation after his visit to the UAE last month.

'I have come to know that several Keralites are languishing in jails there due to lack of proper documents. We expect to do something to bring them back,' Chandy told IANS.

'We have already got in touch with the central government because their permission is necessary. Once we get the permission, we will select a delegation of MLAs.'

He also said that close to 17 women who claimed they were cheated by employment agents in Kerala have returned home.

Chandy did not say what happened to them but added: 'Due to personal reasons these women do not want their names to be made public. My office is working to identify the agents behind the racket. No mercy will be shown to the agents.'
