Foreign Ministry receives credentials of Libyan envoy

ABU DHABI -- The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi received in his office at the ministry the credentials of Libyan Ambassador to UAE Dr A’rif Ali.

Al Junaibi wished success to the Libyan ambassador in his new job, stressing support of the UAE to the Libyan people to overcome the current standoff.

The Foreign Ministry official reiterated the commitment of the UAE government to put an end to the current dire situation, and provide protection for the civilians in Libya through participation in the enforcement of the two Security Council resolutions 1970 and 1973 respectively.

For his part, the Libyan ambassador extended the gratitude of the Libyan Transitional Council to the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for its huge support to the Libyan people. He cited the medical and food supplies and other services being provided by the UAE relief teams to the displaced Libyans.
