Eid prayers to be held at 350 mosques, musallas

Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, has approved 350 mosques and mussallas throughout the country where the Eid Al Adha prayers will be held.

According to Ahmed bin Mubarak Al Kindi, Acting Under-Secretary for the Islamic Affairs and Auqaf at the Ministry, the designated mosques and musallas include 49 mosques and one mussalla in Abu Dhabi, 44 mosques and one mussalla in Baniyas, 29 mosques and eight musallas in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, 21 mosques and 27 musallas in Al Ain, 46 mosques and seven musallas in Sharjah, 18 mosques and eight musallas in Ajman, eight mosques in Umm Al Quwain, 39 mosques in Ras Al Khaimah, 34 mosques in Fujairah and 13 mosques in Khorfakkan, Kalba and Dibba Al Hisn in the Eastern Region.

The minister conveyed his warmest greetings and wishes to the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates, wishing them good health and long life.


ABU DHABI: In Abu Dhabi, the main prayer will be held at the mosque of Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed the First on the Airport Road where the sermon will be delivered by Abdul Hamid Al Mansoor.

At the Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan the First mosque, the congregation will be led by Saeed Ali Al Hashmi, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Presidential Court.


The prayers will be held at 7.15. The other main musallas and mosques in Abu Dhabi where the prayers will be offered include: Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed, Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Bilal bin Rabah, Abdullah Qumz, Derwish bin Karam, Omeir Al Yousef, Thani bin Murshid, Hamil bin Khadim Al Ghaith, Mohammed bin Masaood, Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Shaikh Butti Al Hamid, Fatima bint Abdurrahman, Abu Bakr Sadiq, Abdullah Saeed Qamzi, Abu Hamida bin Jarah, Sultan bin Rashid Al Dhahiri.

In Al Ain, prayers will be offered at Eid Al musalla, Al Muaqam, Al Jimi, Al Salamat, Suwaihan, Al Shuwaieb, Hilli, Al Jhali, Al Khazna, Rammah, Al Manseer Uodh Al Tuoba, Al Wazan, Al Heiri, Omm Shaikh, Al Saad, Al Manaseer, Saif bin Darwish.

In the Western Region, prayers will be offered at musallah Eid, masjid Mubarak Habwa, Saif Osman, Omru bin Jamooh, Ali Abid Sweidan, Mohammed Abdullah, Abu Moosa. Al Ashari, Al Haris bin Qais, Shaikh Mohammed bin Butti, Mohammed Qasim, Masjid Muroor, Abdurrahman bin Abu Bakr.

In Bani Yas, prayers will be held at the main mosques in all sectors of the town including Western Al Wathba and Bani Yas Jania Yafour.

In Madinat Zayed and Madina Baihnouna, prayers will be held at the respective Eid musallas.

In Liwa, prayers will be held at Mubarak Huwah mosque, in Jareer at Salem mosque, in Qatoof at Zubair bin Awam mosque, in Ruwais at Uthman bin Uffan mosque, in Ghayathi at the Eid Al Musalla, in Jabal Dhana at Urwah bin Masood Saqhafi mosque and in Sila near the Saudi border.

DUBAI: According to Auqaf and Islamic Affairs Department, Eid Al Adha prayers will be offered at the following Eid mussallahs in the emirate of Dubai at 7.20am: Bur Dubai grand musalla, Rashidiya Grand musalla, Um Saqim Grand musallah, Deira Grand musalla, Hatta Grand musalla and Al Aweer Grand musala.

The mosques where Eid Al Adha prayers will be held include: Grand Mosque of Jumeirah, New Rashid in Jumeirah, Hessa bint Al Mur mosque in Jumeirah, Jumeirah No. 3 mosque in Juemirah.

The mosques where the prayer will be offered are Al Magfira; Abu Hanifa; Tariq Ibn Ziaad; Zaid Ibn Arqam; Abdul Aziz bin Baz; Al Heera; Al Buhaira; Al Sahaba; Abdullah Ibn Jubair; Abu Al Hassan Al Ashari; Al Hussein Ibn Ali; Al Salaf Al saleh; Municipality; Huzaifa Ibn Osaid; Al Forgan; Al Sajaa; Al Janoobi; Al Rafeaa; Al Zubair; Bin Hwaidan; Tawi Saman; Al Khinaifir and Al Bahaiyyis.

AJMAN: In Ajman, the prayer will be offered at 7.15am at Ajman Eid mussallah, Eid mussalla of Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nauimi mosque; Ahmed Ibn Hanbal Eid mussala at Al Humaidiyya; Masfoot Eid mussalla at Musfoot.

Other Eid mussallas where the prayer will be held include Muzairea ; Al Subaiga; Al Jhanfariyya at Musfoot; Al Manama at Manama.

Mosques in which the prayer will be offered are Al Hassawi; Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan mosque at Al Jorf; Omar Ibn Abdul Aziz at Mushairif; Tamim Ibn aws Al Dari at Mushairif; Bilal Ibn Rabah at Al Nuaimiyya; Al Imam Malik at Al Nuaimiyya; Al Imam Al Bukhari at Al Nuaimiyya; Loqman Al Hakim , Khalfan bin Abduallah, Salama Ibn Al Akowa, Kulaithim Ibn Khaseef, Mariam Bint Obaid Al Razi, Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahl, Al Tadamoun Al Islami and old Municipality garage mosques at the industrial area, Abu Hanifa Al Noaman at the old industrial area, Kaab Ibn Ajra and Khan Sahib at Al Talla area.

RAS AL KHAIMAH: Eid prayers will be performed in Ras Al Khaimah at 7am at Shaikh Zayed Mosque, near Corniche road in Ras Al Khaimah old town, Al Orabi near Saqr hospital, Al Julan near Oman road, Al Maried area, near Fish Market and at Al Rams, next to Nesnas supper market in the emirate.

FUJAIRAH: Eid prayers will be performed at the main mosque opposite Ruler's Office near Insurance roundabout at 7.15 am.
