Eid holiday for banks
The UAE Central Bank has announced a three-day holiday for banks, from today till Wednesday, for Haj and Eid Al Adha.
According to a circular, "on account of Wuquf Arafat, 9th Zul Hijjah (today), banks will remain closed. For Eid Al Adha banks will close on 10th & 11th Zul Hijjah (tomorrow and February 12)".
The Central Bank has instructed banks to keep all their branches in major commercial areas and city centres open for usual business in order to serve customers.
