DSF organises fish cutting competition

DUBAI - In a true integration of skills and abilities of members of the community the Dubai Shopping Festival organising committee organised a fish cutting competition for the skilled workers at the Fish market. Twenty participants attired in special DSF T-shirts took part in this event, which began at 5pm on Wednesday.

The participant had to first run a distance of 150 metres before settling down in the specially marked cutting areas. Each participant had to cut two varieties of fish, one was the local delicacy 'Sherri' and the other fish was 'Habat'.

Jasim Al Marzooki of the DSF Committee, said: "Innovation is the key to every event of the Dubai Shopping Festival. This first time competition helps integrate people from all nationalities and all levels of society in our activities." Participants expertly scaled and cleaned the fish.
